Christmas Adam was founded in September of 2011. My vision for the company is to encourage creativity and fun as family and friends celebrate this unique holiday which highlights handmade creations.
Every Christmas I spend time looking for homemade gift ideas. I have found lots of sites full of great craft projects but many of those are more suited for a children’s rainy day boredom buster. As this website evolves and expands, I hope it becomes a resource to spark creativity in gift giving that both the giver and the recipient will appreciate.
My husband David and I live in upstate NY where we have been raising our eleven children. Dave has a small contracting business that he has forged over the past eighteen years. Although I enjoyed being a stay at home mom, in 2008 I began driving school bus to provide health insurance for the family.
We have homeschooled more than 15 years. The oldest three have graduated and have moved on to the college and career phase. The next six are currently taught at home while the youngest two try to interfere with that as much as possible throughout the day. Life is busy with activity: school, laundry, chores, church, sports, laundry, friends, dishes, goats, chickens, laundry, therapy (for the youngest McCarthy who has Down syndrome), meal prep, bargain hunting, and was laundry already mentioned?
But above all the busyness of life, the most important thing is not our activities but the work of God in our lives. Because we know He is not just the Creator of Adam, Eve, and the world. He is our Savior and Lord.
