Serenity has a love hate relationship with therapy. Her new speech therapist is trying to get her to mimic peek-a-boo (click on the picture if you can’t see the full image) This is one of many things she is working on. I have always known that kids learn when they play and all the little songs, movements, and games are important. But when you have a little one that her own time schedule of when she will hit the typical “milestones” you tend to analyze a lot more (way more than I did for even my first child) but it also makes those accomplishments that much sweeter.
She loves investigating but often hardly stays still for more than a half a minute before she wants to take off again and explore something else. It is good in many ways she is that this point. CREEPING, MOVING, EXPLORING, SCOOTING, even showing frustration are GOOD! It took us a lot of effort to get her to that point. BUT now that her body is becoming more active we are excited as her mind begins to engage in new ways. We would like to see her spend more time playing and working at one task before TAKING OFF to the next. But for now… we pursue her in many ways. And she pursues our hearts in many more.
SHE is SUCH a DARLING!
