ADVENTURE… MEETS ADVENT… in the action packed advent book, Jotham’s Journey. We read these many years ago with the older boys. They enjoyed the story but other friends thought it was a bit intense for young children (there are bad guys chasing good guys etc). So be forewarned. Last year we started this book again for the younger group as they had never heard it before. They loved it!
The story, set in the time of Christ’s birth, is broken down into mini chapters meant to be read each evening at advent. It is a fiction tale of a young boy separated from his parents and his journey through Israel. Danger and intrigue is throughout the book and even teens find themselves interested to see what will happen next!
There are a few more in the series but I remember that we didn’t like these ones as well.
